Jarrod Oxendine : Founder and Managing Partner

Jarrod grew up in Duluth, GA. He is a 2002 graduate of Mercer University and received his Law degree from Mercer Law School in 2005 located in Macon, GA.  He is dedicated to remaining in the area to provide professional legal services to the residents in and around his hometown. A highly motivated individual, Jarrod has worked hard to earn the trust and respect of judges, clients, and colleagues. As one of our seasoned and experienced family law attorneys, he is driven to give his all to every case, no matter how simple or complex. Jarrod is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and admitted to practice in all courts throughout the state, including the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. He is also a member of the Gwinnett County Bar Association. A family man, Jarrod is married with three children and actively participates in many charitable, civic, and political organizations throughout the community.

Christine M. Palmer : Partner Attorney

Christine was born and raised in Alabama. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Alabama then attended law school at Florida Coastal School of Law in Jacksonville, FL. Christine previously worked as in-house counsel for a real estate investment company and was the managing attorney of a law firm in Midtown Atlanta. Christine began working with Jarrod at their previous firm in 2012 and served as the firm’s Senior Associate Attorney. She is now a Partner at Oxendine Law, LLC practicing in all areas of domestic litigation including divorce, child custody, paternity and legitimation, third-party custody and equitable caregiver cases, and modification actions. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia Family Law Section and the Gwinnett County Bar Association Family Law Section.

 

Christine lives in Tucker, GA and is an active member of her local community. She is a life-long fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide and remains a member of the Alabama Alumni Association.

Dillon Mackel: Associate Attorney

Attorneys

Dillon is a Lawrenceville native who graduated from the Kennesaw State University. Dillon began working with Jarrod & Christine at their previous firm in 2015 and has been a valuable member of Oxendine Law since its inception. While working full-time at the firm, he earned his law degree from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. He always receives high praise for his patience and professionalism. He enjoys practicing family law because he is able to make a difference in clients’ lives when they need it the most. Dillon is a Disney fanatic and annual pass holder who frequently offers travel tips to our clients.

Brandon Hollis: Associate Attorney

Brandon studied at Young Harris College in Young Harris, GA before attending law school at the Charleston School of Law. After graduating with his law degree and passing the bar exam, Brandon began his legal career as a law clerk. He then moved on to a position as a Litigation Paralegal where he gained invaluable experience assisting clients with matters pertaining to trial law. Brandon brings a wide variety of skills and a distinct enthusiasm for assisting clients to the Oxendine Law team.

Sara Miltiades : Paralegal

Sara was raised in the metro Atlanta area and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Education from Georgia State University. After several years as an elementary school teacher, and over a decade in the restaurant industry, she found herself drawn to the legal field. She began her new journey in administration and billing for personal injury litigation and immigration law firms. Once she obtained her paralegal certificate through University of Georgia’s legal education program, she was determined to transition to family law. She has a passion for this branch of law and has always been dedicated to working in a field in which she can genuinely help people. Sara lives in Lawrenceville with her husband and two sweet children. She loves watching her kids grow, gardening, being outside, Georgia Football, and has a hidden talent for wheel-thrown pottery.

Caroline Russell : Paralegal

Caroline was born and raised in Louisiana and earned her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University. After many years in banking, Caroline earned her paralegal certificate from Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama in 2013. Since moving to Georgia in 2018, she has worked in real estate and family law. Caroline takes pride in helping people going through the toughest time in their lives and guiding them through to the other side. Caroline is a mother of one and stepmother to three children and loves spending time with her family. Her hobbies include listening to true crime podcasts, reading, visiting state parks, and finding deals.

Lily Smith : Law Clerk

Originally from Panama City, Florida, Lily earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Troy University. She then attended Mercer Law School where she earned her J.D. Throughout her educational career, Lily was involved in various advocatory, charitable, and political organizations. She is an active member of the American Constitution Society. Lily has known she wanted to practice family law since she was nine years old. She has a passion for advocating for people going through some of the most personally difficult and vulnerable times of their lives. Lily is currently studying to sit for the Georgia Bar Exam. When not in the office or studying for the bar, Lily enjoys doing morning yoga, painting, and going to stand-up comedy shows.

Denis Melendez : Front Desk Clerk

Denis Melendez is our front desk clerk. Denis was born in El Salvador and moved to New York at the age of 10. His family relocated to Georgia in 2007 and he has resided here in the Lawrenceville area ever since. Denis began his career working in the wholesale industry and after 15 years of excellent service decided to make a career change. Denis utilized his customer service and logistics skills to transfer into the legal field. Joining the team at Oxendine Law allowed him to make a positive step toward advancing in the legal field.
